libvte0.16-cil software package provides CLI binding for VTE 0.16, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libvte0.16-cil
libvte0.16-cil is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libvte0.16-cil package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libvte0.16-cil *
You will get with libvte0.16-cil package name, version, architecture and description in a table
